It has been more than a year since Ron Skinner from Heading North Mastering in Toronto contacted us to create a one-of-a-kind bespoke workstation for his Avid System 5 located in his home studio. He had mentioned upon pick-up of the desk that he wanted a studio rack to match his awesome desk so we built him a lovely Double 16RU a year later. They are both amazing and the space really is unreal.

We received some pictures from him after the desk was installed. They looked great but to see this desk in person really hits you hard.  The System 5 alone is something to see but that desk wrapped it all up with space for rack gear at each end, really awesome.

He graciously invited us back to give us a grand tour of his state-of-the-art studio and to take a few pictures for our own memories. The afternoon was full of stories regarding his new label called TQM. It stands for Top Quality Music “Unique Recordings Unique Spaces.  Its his new baby and its an impressive undertaking. His first project is called “Detroit Bop Quintet” “Two Birds”and it required him to travel to Detroit to record a couple of Charlie Parker songs “Bluebird” and “Another Hair-Do”.  All recorded within inches of where the originals were done.

We wish him great success! Thanks again Ron!
